Many various things can cause knee pain, such as underlying condition like arthritis, a sudden injury, or an overuse injury. Some of the most common symptoms of knee injury include swelling, stiffness, and pain.

The pain can be localized to a specific area of the knee or affect the entire knee. It is typically accompanied by physical restriction. It can be worsened by exercise, affecting surrounding muscles and be triggered by other issues like foot injury. People of all ages are prone to knee pain.

Many people don’t believe in this and take painkillers like for example Ibuprofen, but it only offers a temporary relief and doesn’t treat the real cause for the pain.

1. Ginger

Ginger is a well-known root that is also known to possess properties which can relieve pain. Here is an interesting way to use it:


2 cups of water

200 gr. of grated ginger root

2 tablespoons of honey


First, boil the water. Then, add the ginger. Simmer it for 20 minutes. Add the honey when it has cooled down. Take 2 or 3 cups of this tea every day and you’ll notice the best results.

2. Flaxseeds

250 ml. water

300 gr. of cherries

250 gr. of brown sugar


First, you need to blend the cherries with the water. Next, add the brown sugar. Simmer the whole mixture for 20 minutes. Keep the juice in a glass bottle in the fridge.

5. Turmeric

Turmeric is a very powerful spice especially when it’s combined with saffron. Then, its effects are doubled.


1 tablespoon of saffron

3 cups of water

1 tablespoon of powdered turmeric

3 tablespoons of honey


The water should be boiled when you add the saffron and the turmeric inside.

Simmer it all for about 10 minutes. Wait for it to cool down before you add the honey.

Drink 1 glass of it throughout the whole day.
